The Government here either has an English problem or is suicidal .I feel that enough warning has not been issued. They are too relaxed.

My opinion on it is that ,if we suffer a direct hit from Irene in New Providence,we will have deaths in the range of 8 to 50 people.

It looks like it will pass to the east of the island, which is good news, as that puts the weaker side of storm nearest, but there are no guarantees with hurricanes.

It looks like it will be a major category 3 storm at that point, so no one wants to get hit by it. The big problem with be surf erosion on the east side of the island, if it follows the current forecast path.

To be honest, I wouldn’t want to be on any island in the path of a hurricane.
