"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Now that is disdain!
That tail is accusing you of not delivering the food.
(Love the white socks. Is this kitty feral as well? The coat looks well-groomed.)
Froggy is a sweetheart. While technically feral, if you squat down you can touch her and and her purr sounds like an idling motorcycle. It was a toss-up between Froggy and Harley when she was a juvenile.
You can pick her up, but she won’t put up with it for very long.
She gets fed at a number of places in the neighborhood because she is friendly, and ‘does her own hair’.
Wow! Froggy is really pretty! Even though she is tabby striped, she has 3 colors, at least. Could you say she’s a calico? Or do they have to have splotches, instead of stripes? I like cats that purr. Mine don’t do it much.
Technically she is a brown mackerel tabby with white markings and a fawn undercoat. The ‘mackerel tabby’ indicates stripes on the sides, while the ‘classic tabby’ has swirls. Property and Excise are both ‘classic tabbies’.
Calicoes are three [occasionally more] with a white main coat and usually black and orange ‘splotches’ . If the main coat is black they are usually called Tortoise Shell.
There is no doubt to anyone within 50 feet that Froggy purrs. Property purrs, but you can’t tell if you aren’t touching her.
