The New Guy … Again
What are you up to?
[Editor: A much better view of the ‘New Guy’ from the beginning of the month. Very Festivus festive as Blaze is just out of the frame and may be preparing to “air some grievances”.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. The other, of course, involves orcs."

I presume Blaze did not waste time delivering a long, challenging speech… as a Kzin (from Niven and Pournelle’s Ringworld universe) tells the human Louis Wu, when you want to challenge, “You scream and you leap.”
OT, I know Gainesville isn’t all that close to you, but if you happen to be there Feb. 21, you can hear the all-time greatest political satire singer/songwriter Dave Lippman perform. I have been to a performance, and he literally has no equal. He bests me in writing political lyrics, hands down. Two of his efforts are Brother Can You Spare a Diamond? and Geithner Fit the Battle at AIG. He also performed the parody YouTube I recently posted, Sgt. Pepper Spray & Heads Clubbed Band. The listing of the Florida gig is here.
Very handsome but I bet the regulars do not appreciate interlopers!
Steve, it was more Puccini than Pournelle, with the two tenors performing a duet until the baritone intervened in a deus ex machina involving a shot across their brows with a SuperSoaker.
Actually, Jams, the colony lets mature toms sort out their own problems, but stray females are chased away and never allowed to eat. Feral cat groups are matriarchal, and toms are tolerated as an occasional requirement.
New Guy is quite impressive. He looks like he could protect himself if need be. Is he much bigger than Blaze?
He has weight and a thicker coat on his side, but Blaze has speed and experience going for him. If they get into it, it will get bloody, which is why I hosed them slightly with the squirt gun.
