They Got The Goat
While I was busy the Gävlebocken was torched. Some people just don’t like Christmas. It is hard to believe that there is a group of arsonists in a small town in Sweden.
I assume the town will try again next year.

If they wanted to burn something, couldn’t they have waited for Burning Man?
Geez. Poor goat.
Isn’t it an annual affair the burning or vandalisation of this got? It’s pretty pathetic though
If they had waited until New Year’s it wouldn’t have been so bad, and would have been in line with ancient traditions.
There are attempts every year, Jams, but they have installed a number of safe-guards, including cameras and fire retardants to protect it. The people involved are usually caught, and will be prosecuted, but that doesn’t halt the attempts.
