Been there, done that, usually at 7:00 AM in Dr. Cyprus’s circuits class over four decades ago. The class was early for a reason: he was an engineer and project manager for Texas Instruments and had to go from class straight to work. He kept us awake with his award-winning LOUD VOICE.
Thanks for the fond memory, even if it had nothing to do with cats.
I had Econ 101 at 8AM with a Chinese PhD that I couldn’t really understand when I was wide awake, so none of my notes from that class made the tiniest bit of sense to me later. I passed by reading the book, but it wasn’t a resume achievement. The grad students loved him, so he must have known what he was talking about, but it was lost on me.
I slept with my eyes open and seemingly taking notes, but my roommate knew I wasn’t awake. I had to get up early every day to either work at the dining hall or the radio station, but that course put me back to sleep.
