Autumn arrived here emphatically, with yesterday’s thunderstorms flooding both streams and streets, followed today by one of those crisp days that lure a heat-oppressed people out of their air-conditioned caves. Tonight we have a forecast low of… get this… 65°F. The only possible improvement would be if Houston had, in addition to solstices and equinoxes, actual distinguishable seasons between them!
It did cool off here after the front passed over and today was in the 70s. We didn’t get the really heavy rains, but the humidity was around 100% for two days. If you came out of air conditioning your glasses fogged up and you had to wait before you could walk anywhere.
