"It's better to be six feet apart right now than six feet under."
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
"Blognito ergo sum!"
"Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."
"Das war ein Vorspiel nur, dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
"Все счастливые семьи похожи друг на друга, каждая несчастливая семья несчастлива по-своему."
"Кто что ни говори, а подобные происшествия бывают на свете, - редко, но бывают."
"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

You have a heated cat pad under your house?… I hope your kitties appreciate your amazing services. And pay rent.
Reminds me of a favorite kid’s joke:
What do you get when you pour boiling water down a rabbit hole?
Hot cross buns
/runs away
I used to put a reflector work light on the back concrete pad for the ferals in the winter, but used a lot of electricity warming up the concrete. I bought the pad for Sox, and put it outside after he passed. It uses the power as a night light staying warm until a cat gets on, then it uses about 25 watts to raise the temperature to about 100°, the normal temperature for a cat. It is on the former base of a pool table that someone dumped under the house, which warms up to share the warmth.
I’ll probably put a windbreak of some kind over it, at some point.
Reminds me, they, the hot cross buns, will be available starting next week. You can only get them during Lent and Easter.
