"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. Wonderful tongue action from Mommy though. Almost as she’s saying “nyah, you ain’t nuttin’.” 🙂
Ms Underhouse is 9 pounds of attitude, which is why she is the current alpha female of the ferals.
that’s a wonderful picture!
The kit still doesn’t trust me.
it’s 7 years later and I still have some of those. 😉
The overcast killed the glare, and the camera recognized my intended focal point. When the conditions are right, it gives good pictures, even on telephoto which is the only way I can get pictures of the pair.
Oh, yes, some of them will always be feral, no matter how long they live inside.
It has taken Mencken eleven years to learn to trust me, to learn that if I turn on the water it’s not to deluge him, that if I pick him up and place him on my lap it’s not to perform live vivisection upon him, that if I pull him closer to me it’s not to choke and suffocate him. Sadly, at age fifteen there isn’t going to be too many more years of that trust.
The mark of human character is how much they try to live up to what their cat or dog believes about them…
I would have a difficult time living down to what the feral cats think of me, with rare exceptions 😉
Well, the ferals all believe you’re an axe murderer (how else could you supply such large quantities of edibles to them on a regular basis? 😉 ), so clearly it’s pretty easy to live up to their expectations :).
OK, you win 🙂
