Off Line

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. Good luck! And I wish your neighbor well!
Take your time, and take care yourself. 🙂
Here Bryan. Maybe this will help you and your neighbor smile. 😀
Hahahaha… No idea who did this, but kudos! 😀
I swear, Bryan, that you are holding up your section of Florida all by yourself. Listen to Kryten42 and take care of yourself. (After your neighbors, your cats, your apartments, your alligators…)
There are a lot of people in their 50s and 60s living alone the area with no local support network. The general attitude is that the family or church will take care of these problems, so there is no need for the government or employers to get involved.
The worse part for me is that those of them that vote will vote for the people who refuse to help them. You can’t convince them that they are voting against their own best interests.
As for me, I’m checking my pneumonia shot record to see if I’m due for another one. That is cheap insurance against a $1200 medical cost. I’m also ‘Lysol-ing’ the car just to be sure.
Yeah, it really is insane. Glad you are doing the smart thing, but that goes without saying really. 🙂 Also glad your neighbor is doing OK. These day’s we just have to take whatever ‘win’ we can get, right?
What ticked me off was they didn’t allow for generic substitution for the drugs, but specified the brand names. That makes a huge difference in costs, and can be the difference between coverage by your insurance if you have it.
When you get less than $300/week for a minimum wage job, medical bills can kill you faster than the diseases.
Yes, it is nice to get any kind of win these days.
I love that falalalalalalalalacat
It is truly a ‘keeper’ 🙂
