Yukon Quest 2015 – Day 6

This morning Brent is in Alaska and Allen is still in the Yukon about 20 miles behind according to the satellite tracking. The back of the pack is between Scroggie Creek and Dawson.

Update: Rolland Trowbridge (13)^R hit the panic button on his tracker and the Canadian Rangers were sent to locate the team. While musher and dogs are relatively healthy, they didn’t feel able to continue. The team will be escorted to Dawson.

Update: Iditarod veteran Ray Redington Jr (19)^R decided to scratch at Dawson. This wasn’t a surprise as he came into Dawson with only 8 dogs left on the team and 500 miles to go.

These are the official standings. That means they are official, not that they are correct. Things jump around a lot as people decide to update the standings. This problem is especially bad in the back of the pack, as no one bothers to update those standings when the lead is changing.

The Mushers in bold are former winners of the Yukon Quest, the numbers in parentheses are their Bib numbers, and the small “R” indicates a rookie.
