Invest 91L
The National Hurricane Center designated a low pressure area on the Yucatan Peninsula Invest 91L on Saturday.
Today the area moved over the Gulf of Mexico and was investigated by a Hurricane Hunter mission this evening. Currently it has 80% chance of becoming a tropical system in the next two days as it moves northwestward across the Gulf.
If the computer models are correct, this will be a rain event for East Texas which is still saturated from its last rain event.

A “rain event” and “still saturated,” indeed. Just rename me “Saturated Fats” …
They still haven’t called it a tropical storm, but it isn’t going to make much difference. This is going to be a major flood event.
