Arr! Arrgh! I’ve known the lady Stella to quaff lambrusco, an’ no highfalutin’ quality stuff it is (no Stella Lambrusco, mates!). It be an ache in ‘er ‘ead morning after, followin’ pasta or no. Meself, matey, lambrusco makes me cough like the sixteen men on a dead man’s, er, whatever; I’ll swill rum instead! Arr!

Quaffing is nearly as good as swilling, but it generally results in more on the outside that the inside. 😉
I don’t appreciate bubbly wine, so I stayed with bourbon, beer, and German white wines back when I imbibed.
