Nice Little Third World Country
The BBC is reporting that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is warning the US over high poverty:
The US has been warned about its high poverty rate in the International Monetary Fund’s annual assessment of the economy.
The fund said about one in seven people were living in poverty and that it needed to be tackled urgently.
It recommended raising the minimum wage and offering paid maternity leave to women to encourage them to work.
The report also cut the country’s growth forecast for 2016 to 2.2% from a previous prediction of 2.4%.
Do the people in the Congress and Executive care that international organizations see the US this way?

There’s something outside of the United States? If so, Congress never heard of it. Except Benghazi. But that might be somewhere in New Mexico or something. ‘Cause New Mexico is pretty foreign. It’s almost Mexico, right?
They are paid not to notice that shipping manufacturing overseas makes the country more dependent on other countries and what happens in them.
The same kind of thinking that has given us ‘trickle down’ economics doesn’t want to admit that it reduces wages to the lowest level in the world. They considered it a feature, just not something you mention to the masses as we move to globalization.
