Today lefties would be whining that unpermitted flight could be dangerous and the engine built by the Wright Brothers doesn’t pass EPA certification, while the righties would be complaining that if God had intended Man to fly then God would have given wings to Man, and both would have immediately passed regulations in Congress to outlaw flight as environmentally unsound and against the laws of God.
Sigh.
If people knew where things were headed they would have outlawed teaching physics in 1903 along with the airplane.
