Your version uses the infinitive while I would prefer the imperative mood. I’m sure that Drumpf would claim first person future tense. “здорово” means healthy at its root.

Actually a quick check and the Russian media translate it my way or with the infinitive “сделатъ”. My years of reading Правда and Известия paid off. 😉

Given the current headlines, it looks like Donald Trump’s next cap is going to read «Вернем России былое величие!» .

Note — this one came courtesy of Russia Today in the original Russian. I don’t think they quite expected Americans to check out their Russian-language pages, LOL.

Given that we already know a lot of things about Trumpet that should have damaged him, but didn’t, I doubt any new revelations will achieve anything. *shrug*

Vlad has been using this slogan since at least 2011 and it looks like Trump ripped him off. “Restore [insert name of political entity here]’s Former Greatness” goes back to Roman times, if not earlier. An appeal for the ‘good old days’ when wealthy white guys ran everything.

I can’t imagine a country in which he did business that doesn’t have a filing cabinet of bad news about him, Kryten.

The article is talking about a (possible) honey trap (kompromat) Russia set up in 2013 mainly. Which I know for certain isn’t unusual at all for them. Or most other countries for that matter! LOL

Nah, Kryten, the new revelations aren’t going to change anything. But they’re frickin’ hilarious. My Twitter feed went crazy with photos of things Trump and liquid where the liquid was recolored yellow. The true believers just roll their eyes and say it’s all liberal lies.

When I was in my Advanced Russian course, two of my classmates were selected for the embassies in Helsinki and Moscow. They were the only two who out ranked me in the class, so I assumed that if another opening came up it would be mine. I talked to personnel about it and was informed that only married personnel were eligible for embassy assignments because of ‘honey pot’ ops. I pointed out that it would be difficult to compromise a single man with pictures of a sexual encounter. Most single guys would want copies of the pictures to send to friends. Nobody was convinced by logic. That was one of a series of things that led to my exit from the service.

And the USA continues it’s fine tradition of outing spies when they named the MI6 operative responsible for the Dossier, and worked as an expert on Russia for 20 years during his time at MI6. You & I know what that means for him Bryan.

I’m going to do a link dump, but Drumpf’s comments about Putin and Russia were so out of step with leaders in both parties in the US and the leaders of our NATO allies that flags should have gone up. That’s why the former MI6 officer’s company was engaged for research.
