This is off topic but I’m glad you brought up Digby. For the last three months I’ve been unable to access Digby from home computer/. Neither through your link, anyone’s link or the hullabaloo URL.
It’s almost as if I was banned except that Digby doesn’t ban anybody. She doesn’t do comments so my stumble-tongued comments can’t possibly affect her.
(Begging for help) Any ideas what might be the issue?
Her site is old school Blogspot and she hasn’t updated much of anything since she started in 2003. Now my site is updated every few months by WordPress, so it would make more sense if I was giving you fits.
I need to know your browser and operating system to do a more thorough investigation. The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is a browser add on is interfering.
OK, I’m running Windows 7 pro 64-bit on this box and I checked Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and IE. None of them had a problem. I have the most current version of all of the browsers. I’ll try try Windows 10 and linux tomorrow when I have time for Win 10 to load. I might boot it tonight so it will be almost ready tomorrow morning.
I have trouble sometimes with digby’s site – it’s always slooooow to load — sometimes it finally does, other times my computer appears to just give up and time out.
She does tend to have a lot of very large graphics and I just checked and it took 98 “page downs” to reach the bottom of the front page. I got to the bottom of my page with 10 “page downs”. I am also running an ad blocker on her site and she has 20 ads. It might well simply be big enough to time out your browser.
