*WHY* he belonged there is important to figure out, though, in order to prevent future Charles Mansons. That’s a distinction that righties who claim you’re “excusing his behavior” don’t understand, apparently.
If you start looking into things like that you might start noticing similarities to people you know and then have to be interviewed so you can tell the world that “he was a quiet guy and no indication that he would fly a plane filled with nuns into a kitten farm”…
