"It's better to be six feet apart right now than six feet under."
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
"Blognito ergo sum!"
"Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."
"Das war ein Vorspiel nur, dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
"Все счастливые семьи похожи друг на друга, каждая несчастливая семья несчастлива по-своему."
"Кто что ни говори, а подобные происшествия бывают на свете, - редко, но бывают."
"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

congratulations, gavlebocken!
I was going to read the other article but I didn’t make it past the intro’s The real-life inspiration for Tiny Tim had a much sadder fate but I thank you for the link anyway (i’ll read it some other day but not today).
It is hard for people to understand that during Dickens’ time London was a small town that later annexed the villages and towns surrounding it, and life was short and brutal. I don’t blame you for skipping it. Charlie was a champion for children, and they were getting lousy treatment. He generally wrote about what he knew.
And how we desperately need another Charles Dickens to shame the Republicans and their gutting of the support structure of our society.
Merry Christmas, Bryan. May 2018 bring the revolution. Or at least an impeachment or a jailing or a fatal lawn tantrum.
The dessert flavor of the year shall be Peach/Mint in ice cream, pie, whatever.
We need to start stockpiling torches and sharpening pitchforks as the tar melts and the chickens get plucked. Confederate memorials need to be replaced with gallows and guillotines. I’m too old to have to put up with crap again.
Hooray, Goat!
In addition to the cameras they have guards at the site and higher fences. Pretty soon you won’t be able to see the Goat for all the security.
