"It's better to be six feet apart right now than six feet under."
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
"Blognito ergo sum!"
"Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."
"Das war ein Vorspiel nur, dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
"Все счастливые семьи похожи друг на друга, каждая несчастливая семья несчастлива по-своему."
"Кто что ни говори, а подобные происшествия бывают на свете, - редко, но бывают."
"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

I understand your neck of the woods is getting frostbitten, Stay warm and keep the cats inside!
The polar vortex broke down again and dumped super cold air down to the Gulf. The worst is set to happen with a ‘bomb cyclone’ forming in the Atlantic off the East Coast. The Russians call these things Burans. They are hurricane-blizzards caused by and explosive drop in atmospheric pressure that spins up hurricane wind speeds that toss around snow and ice.
I should post a picture of my ‘beach wear’
Decades ago I took a lover in the hot and heavy phase of the relationship to the West Coast. Afterwards I wrote a parody: “I left my part in San Francisco.” Fortunately I’ve lost that doggerel…
Ah, yes, some things are better left unsaid and unrecorded 😉
Sydney, Australia just posted it’s hottest day in 78 years!

It’s a warm summer down under!
Damn! That’s a Persian Gulf/Death Valley temperature. There are going to be a lot of tar spattered cars and shoes.
