Damage Report
I’ll be repairing a pipe tomorrow. The claim is that it burst from the cold, but the physical evidence indicated someone hit it with a vehicle.
It is supposed to start warming up tomorrow.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. YES! WARM WEATHER!!!!
no frozen pipes here, but there’s going to be whopper of a water bill in my mailbox shortly.
Oh, yes, but not as bad as having a pipe break under the house. My problem got fixed quickly after I dug up the pipe and could see what was needed. Hard freezes don’t leave paint on the pipes.
Glad you’re getting it sorted Bryan! I remember when i was a teen & we had an unusually very cold winter (days below 0C) and a water mains burst in the street in front of our house. We had a geyser for a couple hours until they shut it down & then we had no water. They had to tear up the whole street & replace the pipe. Mom was OK with that as the whole street had been complaining about the crappy road anyway!
I’m gonna hate my next electricity bill! Had the A/C on several times the past Month. Had it on the past two days straight! No choice. *shrug*
It’s cold, but I have a natural gas heater and it is a hell of a lot cheaper that electric. The cats have electric heat and their winter bills are higher than their summer AC bills.
