The little bag was the quick collection of rounds, including a .410 shot shell (the red tube). In the gap between tiles on the lower left you can see embedded .223 (AR-15/M-16) rounds.
Fortunately there were no loud noises other than a litany of rude names for the individuals who though this would be a good idea.
