I do have great respect for his Military Career & he did work well with the Military Commanders to swiftly deal with Iraq in ’91 (to a debatable point anyway). Less impressed with his Presidency, but at leased he did deal with others respectfully & with composure. Also unfortunate that his son’s didn’t inherit is best capabilities.

There are reasons I didn’t mention his CIA tenure or his years as Reagan’s Vice President. He followed the Reagan lead on HIV and drug abuse which cause unnecessary trauma for too many, and couldn’t convince his kid to stay out of Iraq. He was more successful in foreign policy than domestic.

Your government would seem to be in major trouble over leadership changes. About the time I can consistently name your Prime Minister, he gets ousted. Are there problems or are you messing with Trump’s mind by swapping leaders?
I suspect it’s more a case of:
A: we have no real leaders (much like the USA & UK & others), just RW arse-kissers. $Money is the prime motivator.
B: Dotard is messing with the LNP (Coalition) and ALP. They all want to play “Monkey see, monkey do” and perhaps want to win the “Most Ignorant, Selfish, Moronic and Inhumane Bastard” award. They may even be able to challenge Kim Jong-un, Xi-Li, Putin & others for the crown!

I think Mueller suspects that to be the case. Hence the State as well as Federal investigations. Dotard can’t be pardoned on State charges & convictions, except by a State Governor. That won’t happen in NY! Also, all the important players on the Fed. charged have already been sewn up. My understanding is that Dotard can only be pardoned for a specific Federal crime he’s been charged with (is that right?)
Mueller has a long list of crimes Dotard (& Family) could be charged with & he can be charged at any time, they don’t have to be @ the same time. It’s just more Kabuki Theater. Mueller is far to smart & experienced not to play the long, safe game.
I think Melania is fulfilling an agreement that covers the Presidency and will gone after she finishes. She will probably get whatever is left from Trump’s inheritance that has any real value. She would have probably been gone before if Trump hadn’t won.
The right of a President to pardon is fairly unlimited unless it is used “for corrupt purposes”, like obstruction of justice. The pardon Nixon received was a “blanket pardon” for crimes known and unknown. Handing out that pardon cost Gerald Ford any chance at reelection as President. It only covers Federal crimes, and New York state will be more than happy to indict him for state crimes. I think they are already taking steps on crimes that aren’t covered by Federal laws.
In addition to Mueller, the Federal attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York has everything it needs for an indictment on campaign finance felonies for the payoff to two of his “girlfriends”. Mueller can be stopped, but SDNY can’t.
Mueller is conducting an organized crime investigation that happens to include a foreign intelligence section. The Russian part of the investigation is what will get the requisite number of Senators for an impeachment conviction.

I don’t think Mariya made a good decision about cooperating. A few years in jail is better than a short lifetime of waiting to be murdered. Putin doesn’t like people who don’t follow orders.

Her biggest problem if she cooperates will be not getting deported by the Trump administration. Consider, she is on a visa and committed a crime, so under Trump rules she should be sent back to Russia. Mrs Conway was the most effective unindicted member of Trump’s campaign staff. Her spins on Trump world would make figure skaters dizzy. She coined “alternate facts” with a straight face. She is the most accomplished liar on his staff. Her future as a political consultant is dependent on Trump’s survival.
Mr. Conway is a real conservative and a lawyer. He has nothing but contempt for the circus that Trump leads.
