On January 20, 2017 Trump was inaugurated and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 19,827. After 38 months of his pResidency on March 20, 2020 the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 19,174 – a loss of 653 points.
On January 20, 2017 you could go into any grocery story or big box store and buy toilet paper. After 38 months of his pResidency on March 20, 2020 there is nary a sheet to be purchased locally or on-line.
I can do without the music festivals, professional and college sporting events, the movies in multiplexes, malls, but there’s not much point in living on the Gulf Coast when you can’t go to the beach and listen to the waves as you have a meal.
Today is one month shy of the tenth anniversary of the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon that killed 11 people and spent the next five months spewing millions of crude into the Gulf and onto our beaches. COVID-19 is even worse and may last longer. Hell, even the lies are worse as they are less believable and less rational.

For me, and I suspect you also as you served with honor, also continuing on from our discussion in the other thread where you mention we had morality… I am absolutely fed up with this bloody traitor to the Uniform (and I don’t care what Nation’s Uniform it is), his Officer’s Oath and his Oath as a MD! this traitorous scum is going to get a LOT of people killed because he is more interested in kissing trump’s arse than serving with a shred of Honor! I truly hope he gets a severe case of syphilis and whatever other disease trump carries being lip-locked to Trump’s *private’s*!

That’s the US Surgeon General wearing the uniform of the Public Health Service which looks like the US Naval uniform. He is an acquaintance of Vice President Mike Pence and worked for Pence when he was governor of Indiana. The man is an anesthesiologist and knows nothing of infectious diseases, only putting people under for surgery. Another bad choice of people to fill positions that Trump didn’t care about. The position should be filled by an epidemiologist, an infectious disease specialist, or GP.
Trump got annoyed because GM made him look bad after shutting down a plant that Trump claimed he had saved. Now the jerk wants his signature on the checks that are going out to people, except that the signatures of the Treasurer of the US and the Secretary of the Treasury are the only ones valid on US government checks, and the money may be dispersed through direct deposit.
Oh… Hmmm…🤔 I knew that. Just forgot for a bit. I thought he was Navy? Or am I thinking of the previous one?

The White House doctor is always a US Navy doctor, usually a Captain [Colonel for us Army/Air Force] types. The last one was a total suck-up who played ‘candy man’ to one and all. He scored a promotion to flag rank [Commodore/Rear Admiral/Brigadier – one star] and Trump put his name in to head the Veterans Administration for talking up what great shape the obviously obese Trump with his fast food diet was in. He barely escaped with his medical license and commission after the Senate started looking at him seriously.
The Public Health Service has a commissioned officer corps that wears Navy uniforms with a few different badges. The Surgeon General dresses like a Naval Vice Admiral – it doesn’t have to make sense – it’s traditional. Actually it is because the original job was checking incoming ships for plagues.
