It has been fifty-one years since a human first set foot on another natural body in the solar system and we have digressed to the point that we can’t duplicate that feat.

But we have iPads and smartphones so that makes everything okay, right?
🙁
so, when we first moved here to florida (the wild west of the east) from texas (the wild west of the southwest) i remember unpacking the boxes and finding the newspapers we had saved from that time.
We hit a plateau and then slipped backwards. The money that used to go to R&D now goes to marketing, and if we create something new and wonderful, the manufacturing will take place somewhere else. Our ground transportation system is falling apart and people do nothing but talk about it. No, things are not okay and they are getting worse – we still have Republicans.
Ah, yes, I remember when we had printed newspapers that recorded things in a permanent form, Hipparchia, but that is apparently too difficult to do anymore.
