Well… I decided to watch Hogfather again (as I usually do this time of year). So… Happy Hogwatch all! 👋😊
I’m waiting until the 20th, Hogwatch Night to watch it.
Thank you! That is a great list!👍👍
I have a diverse collection of friends and family and they still send cards.
I haven’t seen a card in years. 🤔🤷♂️
Here Bryan, your perfect self-gift for any occasion/reason! I want one!

I’ve been looking at it for a couple of days. It’s out of stock in a number of places I prefer to do business with, but it can also support Ubuntu Mate and I have a 1 TB drive in a USB 3.0 box that would just plug in. This one only has the 4GB RAM module but that’s “good enough” for what I do most days.
Hah! Why am I not surprised? 🤭😎
That video was a nice overview & what you’d need to do to get it working properly (like update the way out of date S/W). But with Ubuntu, you’d do that anyway.
If it was using Win10, 4GB would be an issue. It’s only a problem on any Linux based OS if you plan to use any heavy RAM usage app’s (mainly multimedia creation/editing). Apparently, it can support up to 8 GB (though I don’t know if it’s upgradeable. There is an 8GB version.)
I had been thinking for awhile now of using my Pi 3 B+ to design & build a NAS. But that all got put on hold since I broke my arm & other stuff. Probably a good thing as the 4 seems to have better support for things I’d need to make a decent NAS. I was even originally planning to design a GPIO NAS controller (there are a couple of basic ones available, but they are pretty much “NAS light”.) I even contacted a couple companies that specialize in prototype small quantity runs about getting a PCB made. I’m not sure if I’ll go ahead with that now though.
If you do get the 400, let me know what you think of it. And enjoy! 👍😊
You can get an RP-4 with 8GB, but not internal to the keyboard. I have to wait until after Xmas to avoid the possibility of ending up with two of them.
I’ll download and burn an SD card with the latest version. The RP-400 shipped with a 16GB SD and I have 64GB cards that are extra for my security cameras. I can load multiple operating systems and see what I like.
