The Fun Continues

A probable electrical surge took out my workhorse 8-year-old HP printer with brand new cartridges in it. I is extremely doubtful that the cartridges will work on current printers. Another unexpected ±$100 expense.

Progress on replacing the starter is slow based on temperatures in the forties and forecast 32°F/0°C overnight. Yes, you can get Freeze Warnings, and even snow in Florida.

you could send those cartridges to me . . . 😈

What kind of printer?

I have an HP LaserJet IV color printer in storage with relatively new toner cartridges but it’s too big and heavy for my office. Dunno how I could ship it to Florida though, it’s heavy as a tank and the shipping would be outrageous.

They’re 61 if they’re useful they’re yours.

I appreciate the thought. I need a wireless for all the stuff I do for tenants and I guarantee my office is smaller than yours.

Your comment system hates me. I appreciate all the work you put into the Twitter post. Alas most of the people using Twitter are still dealing with the basics of their smartphones and won’t really understand the complexity you address.

bah. 64 would have worked.

that’s the problem with hp printers (and maybe others, but most of mine have been hp and i have always loved them) — every single one of them apparently needs its own series of cartridges.

my other hp printer (still going strong, and i can still find cartridges for it!) was brand new at about the same time these were brand new http://hipparchia-moonlighting.blogspot.com/2007/08/counting-kittens.html

Yeah, I know, The replacement I’m looking at uses 67s. it’s frustrating. I have another HP in storage and I’ll check it’s cartridges. If it’s 61 I’ll hook it up until I buy a new one.
