Invest 93L
Invest 93L which may, at some point, become tropical storm Jerry is a collection of low pressure areas around Florida. One of them is in central Florida, one off the coast of Jacksonville, and an associated upper level low in the same area. It is probable they will all merge into one system in the Gulf.
Other than the fact that they are generating a lot of rain, they bear watching by everyone from Texas to the Florida Panhandle as they are expected to turn tropical in the Gulf. How much of a storm develops is dependent on too many variable at this point, but they can’t pull an Humberto yet.
Every other storm in the name list is male this year, and I wouldn’t want to have a beer with any of them.

As for the females on that list?
The ladies didn’t get rowdy enough to show up in bars. It’s the guys who kept starting the fights and tearing the place up.
The models are beginning to converge, but I can’t imagine that means much, given how weird this storm has been (these storms? looks like there have been more than one, at some points).
How much basis do they have for predicting a storm that transitions from a cold to a warm core? I’m no expert, but it seems to me they may as well restart the models from wherever 93L reenters the Gulf… if they can even determine that point with any confidence.
There were at least two low-level lows, and a high-level low involved, and they have to reconcile into a single system to become tropical. This requires a lot of energy that is supplied by warm water. The real center can’t be determined until this happens, so the models are very iffy at this point.
looks like it’ll be a breezy weekend. i’ve been feeding the cats in carriers of all sizes, so we’re ready for anything.
