At least the upper Texas coast has had a week or two of sunny or cloudy-bright days to dry out pretty thoroughly from that period of rain-soaked afternoons with some flooding. I’m not ready to relax, but if it does come here, things could be worse on the ground. What’s the situation in Louisiana?
They haven’t dried out and sure don’t need it, but if it doesn’t pull another Humberto, things should be okay. It will shut down refineries, because they aren’t going to risk another cut-off, so oil will spike again.
