The weather is insane! We’ve copped it all… Major storms & floods (with several power outages) for ~3 Months (on and off), and now… Temp’s below 15C (day) and below 5C (night). Most of the Eastern side of AU had snow on Wed! 15 CM in the Alps. It’s Summer in less than a Month!

We are having a weird fall with the leaves still on the trees that should have dropped them. The Gulf of Mexico is hot, but the tropical storms don’t want to come into the central area. Ian clung to the coast before making landfall on the Peninsula. You can walk across what should be the Mississippi River and there’s no water flowing into the lake that is formed by the largest hydroelectric in the country. We are a mess. we need a slow moving tropical storm to move up the Mississippi Valley to provide the water to lift the grounded barges. The weather is strange.

Elon is screwing up Twitter. I just got there, but I may have to find somewhere else. It’s starting to feel like Geocities or Myspace at the end.

Elon & his BBF Dotard will screw up Twitter. I posted about that PayPal is in trouble & isn’t expected to stay in business for long. He fired the entire Twitter Board & thinks he can run it all himself! What a moron!

The weather is going to be crazy, and probably get worse.

I posted a Tweet back in August about an article from the Copenhagen Institute that the 6th Mass Extinction Event has begun & it can’t be stopped. They give life on Earth 3 Centuries at most. The crazy weather is only one part of the problem.

I’ve always said I despise Homo Sapiens. In a way, it’s too bad I won’t be around to see the end. I’d give a heartfelt farewell to humans: “Good bye and good riddance!! I was right!”

I would just as soon miss the farewell. The US is in the middle of self destruction that parallels the totally ignorant action of Musk. A CMS the size of Twitter is a database disaster waiting to happen. He has fired half staff without the 60 day notice required by California an US law, and will soon be in violation of EU regulations on hate speech and fascism.

People seem to be headed towards Mastodon Social and Tribel to prepare a backup when Twitter tanks. Mastodon has shut down new entries to deal with the influx of new people. Tribel has been running ads on Twitter.

We can hope that the polls are garbage and the GQP gets stomped next Tuesday. They will stall and demand recounts and not accept the results if they don’t win. They seem to believe that the only valid elections are the ones they win.

We are still having 27 degree C days and the trees are confused. We need some cool weather to convince them to change the color of their leaves and drop them. We only rarely see O degrees C, but it should be cooler in November. WTH

Time to change the clocks and go to bed

I cannot see Musk getting out of this one! PayPal is dying, and he severely over extended himself on Twitter! He has screwed himself bigtime this time! He had to borrow 13 billion at 8% interest! That’s very high!

Both Tesla and SpaceX have Federal government hand outs but Twitter does not. He isn’t the great entrepreneur that people assume, he’s a conman like Trump. When he endorse voting for Republicans on Twitter, he told liberals (Dems in the US, Labour in Australia) Tesla lost sales. He has problems with his SpaceX launch site in Texas as he did not get all of the permits needed to build it there from the Feds or locals.

He is living up to his chosen title, Chief Twit, making making a worse mess of the place. He doesn’t understand social media, or the rules. When he complained about ‘bots advertisers started getting concerned that they were being over charged, and Twitter lost money. Not the wisest business move. Twitter was under a consent decree from the Federal Trade Commission (A regulatory court order to stop certain procedures) and he is making changes without complying with the order. The FTC can fine a company billions of dollars for violating a decree. So he currently has problems with the Securities and Exchange Commission for his actions at Tesla. The Federal Aviation Administration for his actions at the Texas facility, and he inherited the FTC problem at Twitter. This is the genius that people were idolizing.

Yes, I’ll probably see you at Mastodon as soon as I deal with a few other issues. I’ll be using the same handle as Twitter.

You know I agree with you regarding EM. Much like Zuckerberg & Besos (esp. lately)! All three pretend they give a damn about anyone or anything other than themselves. But EM seems to have learned far too many of the wrong lessons from his mate DT! 🤨🙄

Still getting the hang of Mastodon Social. Got a few friends there already. 😀

Glad you found a place online. I’ll probably come over after it becomes obvious that Elon intends to keep screwing things up and the election is settled. If it wasn’t a problem for him before, people calling EM a genius has infected him with the belief that he is in fact the smartest man in the world. Twitter has proved to me that he is not a top of the class coder and doesn’t actually grasp the scale of Twitter. Tesla and SpaceX are small companies but Twitter is international, his thinking doesn’t scale.

Agree, of course. Same with PayPal. It’s sinking too.

The only way out for EM I can see, it convincing someone or a group to buy T out for $13-15 bln to cover his loan with the crazy interest! But I doubt his ego will allow that.

As always, time will tell.
