Friday Cat Blogging

Siiiiggghhh…

[Editor: This little guy is watching a squirrel that is about 30 feet up in a water oak. There is zero probability of his catching that squirrel, but hope springs eternal.]

Friday Ark will be back next week

If that squirrel goes any higher it will be a meal for a merlin, who has a much better chance than the lad on the sidewalk.

Hope can spring eternal I suppose. Another Ted today, with an appropriate song

Teens always have impossible dreams.

See Bryan, it isn’t the squirrel qua squirrel he’s regarding… it’s the Platonic Squirrel. Hence the soulful expression, the calm tail, the philosophical posture. Naturally, if Platonic Squirrel gets careless he’ll quickly become Platonic Dinner. Cats are very practical philosophers.

In a couple of months all thinking will shift to the other end, and squirrels will be forgotten. Adult toms do tend to be single minded.

Kind of like a dieter looking at a Black Forest cake…

Awwwww! He’s so cute, he deserves a squirrel. Perhaps, you could create one with the cat food and give it to him as an award.

OLD, he is at least 50 feet away from where I was, or he wouldn’t still have been there. This is the first time he has stayed in place when I was in his visual range, as he is convinced I am the Axe Murderer. Normally he’s off like a shot as soon as he sees me.

His picture on the blog is as much of a reward as I can give him.
