They Don’t Know
So ABC News [the American ABC] says that a Republican snitch told them that Trump is picking Governor Pence of Indiana as his running mate, but Trump told Fox News that he hasn’t made his “final, final decision” and other Republican snitches are saying that Chris Christie and Newt Gingrich are still in the running.
With the death of approximately 75 people in Nice eating up all the time on the news channels, Drumpf isn’t going to announce anything.
Update: Drumpf “tweeted” Pence, so it’s official if it’s in a twit’s tweet…

Trompe [l’oeil] needn’t worry. Every weekday evening, of the approx. 7′ that [American] ABC national news spends on “Your Voice, Your Vote,” about 6′ 59″ are about Trompe; sometimes there’s a 1-second flash of a pic of Hillary and sometimes not. Trompe has the broadcast networks sewed up like an NFL football (without a Brady leak).
As for the deaths, Trompe isn’t concerned: they don’t include him, because he isn’t Nice.
I’ve been expecting our own home-grown terrorists to do that sort of attack upon a Black Lives Matter gathering, secure in the belief that the police would cheer them rather than shoot at them. But it appears ISIS — or some Islamist organization, no doubt — decided to do it first.
There will be copycats.

Trump doesn’t care because inflaming anti-Muslim sentiment is part of his battle plan. Of course this will play precisely into the October surprise being readied by those who would favor a demagogue, racist, misogynistic, incompetent blow-heart running this country. This is in addition to the copycats Badtux mentioned. The insane extremists in the middle east know they have a shot at destabilizing the USA (if not the entire world) by pushing Trump into the presidency.

No doubt in a push to be relevant, Newt Gingrich wants US Muslims questioned on whether they believe in Sharia Law. I would like to find out how many ‘Christian conservatives” believe in the Ten Commandments, especially coveting, adultery, and bearing false witness, but the Constitution in this version of history prevents it.
France’s history in it’s Muslim colonies make it a target even without what ISIS is doing. This sounds like a lone wolf operation, and even after shooting the driver, how do you stop the truck?
Frankly, I think your scenario is all too likely, Badtux, given the general political views of too many of the people who drive semis and other large commercial vehicles.
Shirt, Drumpf has annoyed, angered, and generally pissed off too many people to gain power. The only way he gets even a McClain turn out is if people are convinced that President Pence will take the reins early in 2017.
