We’re sitting in the central hallway of
Our House, waiting out a couple of tornado
warnings, soothing two kitties made nervous
by cell phone alerts screaming occasionally.
I’ve spent more boring afternoons. Fortunately
none of the residents are inclined to panic.
And we can always watch trash cans float
down the street. And honestly enquire,
How’s bayou, Bryan?

I am really glad to hear from you, Steve. I’ve been worried about you since I saw the rain patterns. You have been following the weather, so you know you are in for a long haul to the sunshine. The current tracking has the sucker going back into the Gulf and then heading for Houston as a tropical storm.

I know that you have been through this before, but it gets worse as we get older. Say ‘hi’ to Stella and the kitties for me and know we are thinking dry thought for you.

whew! the doggerelist is alive and kicking! I’ve been worried about y’all too.

my bayou is fine thankyouverymuch 😈 glad you could check in, and here’s hoping that Harvey part iii doesn’t come after you for that.

Glad you & family are OK Steve. I was hoping yesterday you were out of harms way. I wish everyone there had been.

Things will be somewhat difficult for a while yet from what I hear, but hopefully the worst is over. Good luck!

You do seem to have selected the right place to live in Houston, Steve. Looking at the drone shots, it looks like you could drive shrimpers instead of jon boats in Houston.

I’m in the outer band at the moment, but it just pours through the sand into the water table.
