The CBC offers the most complete coverage and tell us that Shubenacadie Sam in Nova Scotia thinks winter is over, but Punxsutawney Phil from Pennsylvania predicts six more weeks. Wiarton Willie in Ontario weighed in on the subject at 7:07AM CDT to agree with Phil.
FYI: this is approximately the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox. It is called Imbolc among the Celts, which is why people are interested.

Trump’s national security adviser is demanding plans for a military strike on North Korea

Well, the Pentagon might try reality and show Trump what would happen if we attacked North Korea. Trump’s threats guarantee that the Norks will never seriously consider giving up their nukes. The whole point is to keep the US from attacking, and they will throw everything they have at South Korea if we do anything stupid.

My primary disgust is that the morons have essentially said that the Pentagon doesn’t have a plan regarding NK! Which would be a serious surprise to pretty much all nations, including NK! I know for a fact they did have a plan in the 80’s, but like everything else in the USA since, maybe they never updated it! Which is as bad as not having one, maybe worse in fact.

Well, there’s always plans for military strikes. I’m sure that somewhere in some file drawer in the Pentagon are plans for a military campaign against Canada.
It is more probable that the Pentagon doesn’t have a first strike plan against North Korea, as the results would be devastating with even the conventional weapons the Norks have targeting Seoul. Artillery may not be as sexy as nukes, but thousands of large weapons that are already targeted on the South Korean capital can make for a very bad day.
There is no defensive weapon that will be effective against massed artillery.
Yes, Badtex, there are plans targeting Canada and Mexico assuming terrorist attacks. There are plans about everything, but the existence of the Canada plan was revealed a few years ago.
