Drumpf and Sarah Sanders are having a hissy fit that someone leaked the crude comments about John McCain in a staff meeting. They aren’t apparently upset about the comments, just the fact that they were leaked. There has been no apology and no known action taken against the individual who made the comments. As a matter of fact the crude low-life who made the comment is being portrayed as a ‘victim’ of the leak.

MCGA (Make China Great Again)
US President Donald Trump has said he wants to help save ZTE, one of China’s biggest telecoms companies.
The firm has suspended operations after the commerce department last month banned US companies from selling it components for seven years.
ZTE pleaded guilty to making illegal shipments to Iran and North Korea.
Mr Trump tweeted that he was working with President Xi to ensure ZTE would get back into business fast, saying too many jobs in China were at risk.
ZTE violated US export laws designed to protect US national security, which Drumpf apparently feels is less important than a possible trade deal with China with his name on it. 👿

This is child neglect, and it is a crime. If you take a child into custody, you are responsible for them. If you can’t account for them, you have broken the law and are a criminal.

2) Congressional & Senate Democrat’s are asking POTUS to reverse his policy.

There are a lot of vets who thinks that paying for an AR-15 is a mental health problem. You can blink with a .22 – the guns and ammo are both cheaper. If I’m trying to hit something, I’d want a bolt action, not an auto-loader. “Assault rifles” are dangerous toys..
Trump is a racist just like his father and that is the judgement of the State of New York that convicted them of housing discrimination. The “law” he is talking about is the process for dealing with unaccompanied minors who enter the country illegally, not the children of people seeking asylum. They are taking the children away from their parents and treating them like unaccompanied minors, something that the US has already determined is immoral in the case of slavery and the residential schools for Native Americans. People don’t recognize him without his robe and hood.

There is a good reason why most good sniper rifles are bolt action. Even though some modern variants use a bolt for the first round, then auto load the next to improve performance. Even my old IWS-2000 worked that way. On the farm as a lad, I hardly ever missed with my faithful .22 Ruger.

After screwing around with settings for a hour and still having to retrieve my texts from the SPAM directory, I changed to one that only goes after bots.
If you hunt because you need the food, you want tools not toys. If you take care with the first round you don’t need the second. Under the law enforcement rules of engagement I was taught the worst crime was hitting something other than what you were authorized to hit. You need accuracy, not volume.
I started off with a .22 Savage pump, so old it had a browned, not blued, octagonal barrel. That was after a spring powered BB gun of course.
Yes. 😀 My first was a BB gun (we called them slug guns here). When Grandpa got me the .22 after he was certain I would be sane & very careful, I saw a cool new pump action air-powered slug gun that used darts when I went with him to buy some ammo & oil. I saved and bought one a couple years later. Surprisingly powerful & accurate! I’d been training on a bow by then, which I liked. But this new self-gift was a lot more fun! One of the great things about living on a farm with wide open spaces & not in a city!
We had something similar (but more powerful with CO2 cartridges and an ammo magazine, longer ranged and more accurate) in the Military when *stealth* was a primary requirement.
I have used an “air rifle” that was pumped up and owned several “pellet guns” that were powered by CO2 cartridges and fired .17 caliber pellets. I also had plastic practice cartridges that were powered by rifle primers for my .38/.357 caliber pistols. The practice rounds wouldn’t penetrate paper, but they did move the target so you knew you hit it.
I remember that there were darts for the pellet guns that could be used with any of the Amazon poisons [curare, et al.] to be fatal.
When I was growing up a few WW2 vets had a M1 rifle in the closet. It was kept as a keepsake though and most of them didn’t have any ammunition for it, or any desire to find ammunition for it, sort of like my dad’s .45 ACP.
Bolt or lever action rifles and pump shotguns were the meat hunting weapons in that extended family. A semi-automatic rifle would have been considered froufrou.
I must be too ‘old school’ and conservative for today’s shooters. Like your family the only auto-loading weapons I saw were Garands, but the Springfield .30-06 bolt action are what you saw in the field. As I had relatives working at the Remington factory, the Model 870 was the shotgun of choice.
