Kraft Is Toast

Trump On Robert Kraft’s Prostitution Charges: ‘He’s Proclaimed His Innocence Totally’, and Trump doesn’t care about the tapes: “The investigation involved setting up surveillance cameras which took video of people inside the massage parlors, and one of those people on at least two occasions was Robert Kraft.”

If it was one visit, he didn’t realize what was going on, not a great defense, but a defense. He visited twice, so there is no doubt he knew what was going on as far as the prostitution is concerned. He should have also be able to figure out that the girls were not documented, and were probably being trafficked.

This wasn’t primarily a prostitution investigation, it was about human trafficking that Trump seems to believe is important when it comes to building Wall. Apparently it isn’t so important when it involves his friends or his golf courses.

Trump is rather selective about who is a criminal. It appears that white people are innocent until proven guilty, but non-whites are guilty until proven innocent.

Good lord. Now a john will be charged with knowledge of the business structure of a prostitution ring?

The fact that this particular operation was being watched in a human trafficking investigation is being exploited elsewhere, and now here, to imply knowledge or other misbehavior (beyond soliciting) on the part of Kraft.

Arrests for such solicitation are among the most common arrests made across this country. In every city. In every state.

But put “HUMAN TRAFFICKING!” and “New England Patriots” together in one paragraph, and what is an unremarkable event becomes an opportunity to toss some garbage.

A guy solicited a prostitute. Get over it.

In a decade as a LEO I never made a single arrest of a ‘john’. The neighboring city used to run sweeps around local elections under pressure of the pols, but it is a low value enforcement, and not worth the cost. These arrests are part of a trafficking investigation and will be used as part of that case, i.e. to prove that it was trafficking for prostitution.

Kraft was charged with two counts: The 2018 Florida Statutes Title XLVI – CRIMES Chapter 796 – Section 796.07 Prohibiting prostitution and related acts.—

(2)It is unlawful: (i) To purchase the services of any person engaged in prostitution.

(4)(a) A person who violates any provision of this section, other than paragraph (2)(f), commits:
1. A misdemeanor of the second degree for a first violation, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
2. A misdemeanor of the first degree for a second violation, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.

As a graduate of an Ivy League business school who created a multinational corporation he should have been able to figure out what was going on at the Orchids of Asia massage parlor. His patronage and that of others is source of the profit in the trafficking.

I couldn’t give less of a shit that he owns a team of adults playing a child’s game. He will get a fine, community service, mandatory STD testing and the disapprobation of his neighbors. He will be an unindicted co-conspirator in the trafficking case and won’t be put on the “sexual perverts” register. More’s the shame.

You don’t take this seriously, which is your problem. I’ve had to interview the victims of trafficking and take it very seriously.
