Netanyahu Charged

From the BBC – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu charged with corruption:

Israel’s attorney general has charged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with bribery, fraud and breach of trust in connection with three separate cases.

Mr Netanyahu is alleged to have accepted gifts from wealthy businessmen and dispensed favours to try to get more positive press coverage.

The prime minister described the charges as an “attempted coup”, blaming them on a “tainted” process.

He has also insisted he will not resign and is not legally obliged to do so.

In a televised speech, Mr Netanyahu said authorities “weren’t after the truth, they were after me”, and called on the country to “investigate the investigators”.

Bibi better hope Trump doesn’t mark him as a plagiarist for using the GOP corruption excuses.

It would appear that no one can form a government after the last election, which will result in Israel having its third election in a year. The Likud must decide if they want Bibi as the leader for that election.

Yes. there are several current *World Leaders* using that playbook. I suspect it was created by Murdoch. His media empire was the first to begin using those phrases in recent decades. I wonder if they have to pay him a fee for their use?🤔Noooo… Perhaps he gives them free use as part of his generous campaign donations, as well as use of his media empire & connections.🙄

I just signed a petition relating to FL. It’s about a company I truly despise, so it was a no-brainer.

Protect Ginnie Springs from Nestlé’s greed

I fond an old-school forum full of mature adults (mostly around our age) of Hi-Fi geeks! I was reminiscing about my awesome old Audiophile system I saved for, and bought, long ago. Did a search and it came up. I joined & told my story. Got a reply already. 😀

Ahhhh… The memories! I’m lucky, and glad, I still have them. 🙂 Things could be worse! 😉

Rupert requires certain privileges for his enterprise in return for his support. He was beaten to it by Sheldon Adelson (casinos in Las Vegas and Macau) in Israel. Adelson started a newspaper in Israel and gave it away to drive other newspapers out of business (see Walmart, etc.)

The water give away from Florida’s fresh water springs is an example of corporate looting of public natural resources. Nestlé and Coca Cola have been doing this all over the world. It’s a double insult in that they not only remove the wate, but they put it in the plastic bottles that are polluting the waterways.

Ah, yes, back in the days when we could hear. Harmon-Karden preamp/equalizer, H-K tuner, Marantz amplifier, Thorens 125 turntable with Shure cartridge, Revox reel-to-reel, Bose 901 speakers, and Koss earphones.

Sorry, I missed your replay! 🙁

Agree re Murdoch/Adelson & Nestlé/Coke/Pepsi etc…

That’s a good system for the time! I almost got a Thorens TD125. 😀 But decided @ the last minute on the Rega. I also had a Revox 8-track RtR (I forget the model) that the studio gave me so I could do some work at home (it was my choice, it was easier with fewer distractions. I got more done mixing a tape on a weekend than a whole week at the studio! I had a lot of other duties at work anyway. Sometimes I’d bring home one of the Studio’s Ampex 16 track RtR for work at home. The Boss was good too, he paid me extra for the work I did at home. Good thing too or it would have taken a lot longer to buy my *dream system*! 😉 😆 I bet none of those companies would do that these day’s! They expect workers to take what they get & the company owns them!

Sometimes, I wished I’d stuck to the Music Industry, but realised some time ago it had gotten much worse over the decades since. One of the most cutthroat industries there is!

The Bose 901’s had a good sound for a small(ish) speakers! They were well engineered. 😀 You have good taste my friend. 👍☺️

I had the 15/30 ips capstan as well as the 3¾/7 and flip a few switches to record and play 4 channel one-sided versus two-sided stereo. The 9 little speakers in the 901 box up against the back wall of the house convinced a neighbor that trying to annoy me with loud country music was a bad idea. I did have to replace some caulking and nails afterward, but Emerson, Lake, and Palmer convinced the cretin that he was in the audio bush league.

I recorded my vinyl to tape and only used the tapes to listen. My record collection was basically new when I let my niece raid it.

Accountants dreaming up new ways to screw the artists and craft people are the only ones who make money in the music business.
