Given the prevalence of accurate timekeeping devices, it is amazing that the explosions that are supposed to signal the new year extend for hours beginning six hours before and extending well after the actual event. Anyone who thinks alcohol and gunpowder is a recipe for a long life should be avoided by insurance agents.

Well, Trump, whether he believes it or not, was not reelected, but his incompetence left us with medical and economic disasters that will continue well into the new year. With luck we can forget about masks and social distancing this fall and kids can go back to school. I wouldn’t bet on it, but it’s possible.

I’m surprised I made it to Decade3 to be honest, for a variety of reasons.
A friend of several years said I have been lucky. Most Humans are. I just don’t know yet if it’s good luck or bad luck! 🤷♂️🙄 As always, time will tell I suppose.

Happy New Year. I think I’m going to have to shut off news until Jan 21st. Ted Cruz, Louie Gohmert, and Josh Hawley are really irritating me, just now. It sounds like those rightwingnut rabble-rousers are planning a bloodbath in DC, too. Covid19 isn’t helping. My sister, the RN, was able to get her first shot in Dec. I think she gets the second on Jan 6th. Thank goodness for some good news. Since Biden and Harris were elected, I can’t believe all the Malarkey Trump and his followers are pulling. Trump’s attorney, calling for Pence to be strung up was so very shocking, too. I sure hope he and the rest of them have to answer to the law. Anyway, hoping 2021 calms down. I’ve had my share of drama. No need for any more, for quite some time!
Oops, I’m sorry…Lin Wood didn’t say Pence should be strung up, he said Pence should be in front of a firing squad.

OWL, you need to step away from the news and do more paintings of cardinals. You can check in with your local news and weather but avoid the national stuff, because it is all propaganda right now. As long as the media takes what the Republicans say seriously, they won’t stop.

The SVR got away with the hack for a very long time, time enough to get a lot of very useful intel of military and commercial interest. They were discovered by accident. Trump wouldn’t have taken any action, but Biden definitely will. If karma has a sense of humor, the sanctions will sting Trump’s creditors, who will call in their loans 😈

Playing, as in replacing a dripping drain under my bathroom sink which is aiding and abetting the growth of mold while providing liquid refreshment to various and sundry unwanted critters. 😉

of course he was! whenever we had prowlers, fbd and i hid under the covers while curmudgeon cat scared them off.
i’ve loved every one of my pets, but fbd was truly special in the kindness-to-all department.
You love them all, even the somewhat evil ones, but there’s always a special one that stands out from the rest.
