"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. If they were moving, I’d think they were practicing some sort of square dance call. They’re so close to being in some sort of pattern… are you sure they’re ordinary cats, rather than the familiars of humans dancing in the moonlight?

There is nothing ordinary about them, but Sox isn’t tucked up because the oil radiator heater is about 8 inches in front of him and he is soaking it up. Property tends to avoid these scrums, but it was really cold Thursday morning.
God, that makes me want to take a nap.

As long as you didn’t want to use any of the blankets or covers, they wouldn’t care. If you wanted to take a share, there would be an attack.
They know who rules that household, hmm? :-).

I would get more respect if I were a better source of heat.
What a beautiful glorius pile. Think of all that warmth. Yes, that’s the blanket to get under when it’s cold out.
oldwhitelady´s last blog post..What a catastrophe!
It’s a solid demonstration of the value of natural fibers. Wool is just a great insulator, and pound for pound, nothing have ever been as good. You can’t fool cats.
They all look particularly comfortable there, I take it that it’s pretty cold at the moment?

It was mid-week, but the wind shifted to the South off the Gulf of Mexico so it’s 20° C instead of 20° F.
