Yes, it’s Friday the 13th again. The 13th falls on a Friday more than any other day of the week, so get over it. It’s only valid in in English and Portuguese speaking countries, so go visit a Spanish-speaking neighborhood for the day.
If you want to blame someone, it’s the calendar of Pope Gregory XIII that created this imbalance. [He obviously didn’t have a problem with the number on any day.]

It could be a lot worse! Monday the 13th!! *SHUDDER* Monday’s are bad enough.
Actually, Monday the 4th is worse – you got paid on Friday, and have to live on what’s left after the weekend. Now, that’s scary.

You would have to be extremely lucky to have an hour at home when a black cat didn’t cross your path.
if 2 of them cross my path, do they cancel each other out?
actually, it’s the blues i have to watch out for. being only semi-tame, they like to get close to the food source, but not too close, which means they’re underfoot a lot, especially if i’m moving toward the kitchen. the black ones have no fear, and are usually up on the countertops and tabletops, as close to my face as they can get. they’re also the ones most likely to be ‘helping’ me with my keyboard skillz.
