Air conditioning is OK for a 20° change, but not so great when the change needs to be greater.

Actually, it was the lack of a breeze of any kind, that made the outside so brutal. Lately every time you walked out of air conditioned space your glasses fogged up.

I’m still having to reconcile the numbers you’ve been taking about with my time in Monterey. If you went inland to Salinas it was hot, but you always needed a jacket on the coast, and the Bay area was colder.
