TD 5 looks likely to land considerably west of you, Bryan, and considerably east of me. Is the good Goddess losing her accuracy in old age? 🙂 Seriously, it’s sad to see Louisiana about to take more pounding; the past decade has been horrible for them in the tropical weather department.

Rain is about all they are going to get, and it might flush some of the oil out of the marshes – well, we can hope that it does.

They down graded it to nothing at four pm.

We just had a bad storm, and Tornado’s!! We NEVER used to get Tornado’s! We’ve had 3 in the past couple years. 🙁 This one passed by the edge of the town, so only some minor damage to property, luckily!

Our town was blasted by gale force winds and rain & hail all night! The side fence came down, and the TV aerial (that was held up very well by a solidly anchored steel pole and 3 steel guy cables! One of the cables was ripped off it’s anchor it looks like. Just a matter of time after that. We’ve had several *severe weather* warning this year so far! Victoria used to be called a moderate climate. Was nice here! *sigh*

Victoria: Severe Weather Warning

But… there is NOTHING at all wrong with the weather! Nahh… It’s all in our minds apparently! A*holes!!

I reckon we should round them up and chain them to some trees in the path of some tornado’s or hurricanes! See what they think of the weather then! 😈

We should be having a very active hurricane season based on all of the normal indicators, but it isn’t happening. The wave are coming off of Africa and popping up in the Caribbean, but the upper level of the atmosphere is not acting like it should based on the La Niña in the Pacific and the high sea surface temperatures. That is what is preventing the storms from developing.

The flooding in Pakistan, India, Nepal, and China is the result of the jet stream in Asia being much further North than normal, so the monsoon rains are falling in the mountains of the Kush instead of the plains.

That has also affected the rainfall in Russia on the North side of the jet stream, and they are experiencing drought, wild fires, and obscenely high temperatures.

The climate is screwed up major league.
