The only thing less reliable than stars is GPS in most local areas. My brother had a rental car with GPS that wanted to make a left turn in the middle of a bridge, but even if you when to the end of the bridge there were no left turns permitted. You had to make a right turn to access the road that went under the bridge – basically three right turns to make a left, but you had to be a local to know that.
