Tropical Storm Otto – Day 4

Tropical Storm OttoPosition: 10.9N 85.6W [ 9PM CST 0300 UTC].
Movement: West [265°] near 13 mph [20 kph].
Maximum sustained winds: 70 mph [110 kph].
Wind Gusts: 90 mph [145 kph].
Tropical Storm Wind Radius: 70 miles [110 km].
Minimum central pressure: 990 mb ↑.

Currently about 20 miles [ 30 km] North of Liberia, Costa Rica.

The storm made landfall just to the north of the town of San Juan de Nicaragua at Noon CDT, as a Category 2 hurricane with 110mph winds.

Otto weakened to a tropical storm at 9pm CST.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Pacific coast from Puntarenas, Costa Rica to Puerto Sandino, Nicaragua.
