Le Tour 2017 – Stage 18
Distance: 179.5 kilometers.
A mountain stage with category 3 Côte des Demoiselles Coiffées, category 1 Col de Vars, and Hors Catégorie Col d’Izoard spaced about every 60 kilometers. It is a summit finish, so winning is worth more in points and time.
Warren Barguil won the stage and probably the Polka Dots with his climb to Izoard, while Chris Froome holds on to the Yellow by 23 seconds. With the longest stage coming up tomorrow and the time trials on Saturday, the leaders want to avoid any drama.
