While I’ve Been Away
Geraint Thomas, a Welsh rider on Team Sky won the Tour de France on a race plagued by less than friendly conduct by the spectators along the course. Then there was the demonstration by farmers that the police broke up with tear gas that affected the main body of the riders and the hazard of a patch of cobblestones on part of the course. Christopher Froome wasn’t at the top of his form, but the harassment of the spectators who made multiple efforts to impede him put another win out of reach.
Meanwhile Trump has been tweeting his confession concerning the misdeeds of himself and others to the world. This latest batch amply demonstrates why his lawyers don’t want him to meet with Mueller’s team – he will confess to kidnapping the Lindbergh baby and every other crime of note in the last 100 years. He can’t help himself. He thinks that he can convince anyone of anything. He really seems to believe: “When the President does it, that means that it’s not illegal.”
The number of apartments I’m working on has expanded from 1 to 3, so I won’t be back for a while.
