Terence Graham Parry Jones 1 February 1942 – 22 January 2022

The BBC notes his passing with – Monty Python’s Terry Jones: Master of the absurd.

The Register notes one of his signature bits: The Foot of Cupid emits final burst of flatulence in honour of fallen Python Terry Jones.

The Australian Broadcasting offers – Terry Jones: Monty Python star’s best moments on screen.

Whether playing an organ in nothing more than a tie or watching the penguin on top of the ‘telly’ explode, Terry Jones appealed to a sense of humor normally associated with middle school. He wrote, directed, and acted in television shows and films. He wrote children’s books and serious history books (his Oxford degree).

To aid his spirit way, hum a few bars,,,

Some things in life are bad.
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you’re chewing on life’s gristle,
Don’t grumble. Give a whistle.
And this’ll help things turn out for the best. And…
[music]
Always look on the bright side of life
