Distance: 129.7 kilometers.

The final Mountain stage with two Cat 4, and two Hors Catégorie climbs and a summit finish.

  • Côte de Loucrup 54.6 km (Cat 4: 2.0km @ 7.0%)
  • Col du Tourmalet 94.1 km (Hors Catégorie: 17.1km @ 7.3%)
  • Luz Ardiden 129.7 km (Hors Catégorie: 13.3km @ 7.4%)

The intermediate sprint is at 62.7 km at Pouzac.

With the win today, his third on this Tour, Tadej Pogačar protected the Yellow and White Jerseys and picked up the Polka Dots – the same three that he won last year. Mark Cavendish has a 19 point lead for the Green and is looking for another stage win in the flat stages ahead.

Note: Wikipedia has a simple article on the Mountain classification used on the Tour. The basic fact is that climbs fall into five types, with the four numbered types decreasing in difficulty as the numbers get larger, and then there is the Hors Catégorie, literally “without category”, which generally makes you look for an elevator or Sherpas.
