"It's better to be six feet apart right now than six feet under."
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
"Blognito ergo sum!"
"Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."
"Das war ein Vorspiel nur, dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
"Все счастливые семьи похожи друг на друга, каждая несчастливая семья несчастлива по-своему."
"Кто что ни говори, а подобные происшествия бывают на свете, - редко, но бывают."
"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

I wore my pi shirt today. It says “Come to the Math Side. We have Pi” (but the symbol for pi, not the word).
Nobody noticed.
SIGH! Heathens.
I think many schools have given up on mathematics unless it is a STEM school and only deal with arithmetic. Even then cashiers can’t make change without looking at the register to to count out the coins.
References to even plane geometry are beyond their ken. Η Β Π would be beyond comprehension.
We live in an “Ignorance is bliss” World now, sadly. Though, the way things are heading… It won’t be for much longer. 🤷♂️🤨😼 Fine by me.
One of my MMO games gave special gift’s in-game to celebrate Pi Day! The code to collect them was HAP-PYP-IDA-Y22. They were some character buff scrolls, they usually last from 30 minutes to 2 hours. These were 3 hrs 14 min’s. Made me laugh!
When I went to put my bins out Tuesday, a small Calico kittie I’ve seen around was looking at me intently. So I spoke to her quietly & she padded over & I made the mistake of giving her a scratch behind the ears. I noticed she seems to be underfed, I could feel her bones. As I went back to the Unit, she followed me. I would have loved to have taken her in. I’ve had a couple Calico’s & they were wonderful. My Little Miss was at the door looking at me too. Then she padded out & they sniffed each other. I put some food & water out & called the local cat shelter. I still feel sad about it. But I just can’t afford another & my Unit is small. Missie isn’t impressed with me either. She remembers when she was abandoned & I took her & Mr. Kittie in. 😿 He’s easy, so long as he get’s food & tummy rubs & can sleep in peace, he doesn’t care about anything else!
There are roughly 20 feral cats living outside my house. Thus far none of them have decided to come in. I feed them and give them water because I don’t like to see them suffer, and I took them all to the Humane Society to get vaccinated and neutered, but they prefer to stay outside and all of the local animal rescues are clogged with adult cats right now so aren’t intaking any unless they’re sick. I did manage to get a rescue to accept a kitten though, and three other cats were young enough that a rescue took them after a friend socialized them.
Man’s inhumanity to not-man matches his inhumanity to man, sigh.
Ferals are generally unhappy with a lack of multiple exits from any area. They are happy to eat your food and drink your water however, even if you took them to a vet. They may yet decided to come in depending on the weather and local opportunities for outside shelter.
You can’t save them all, no matter how much you would like to.
