No Rest in Victoria
The threat rises with the temperature: More fire threats issued, others downgraded
More Victorian communities have been issued with urgent fire threats, while others communities have had theirs downgraded.
An urgent threat has been issued for residents east of Carrajung Woodside Road, between Starling Road and Pogues Raod north of Yarram and north-west of Woodside.
The CFA says residents are under direct threat from this fire and need to activate their fire plans immediately.

The urgent threat to areas near the Upwey fire in the Dandenong Ranges has also been downgraded.
The blaze, which started in Birds Land Reserve near Nixon Road has destroyed at least one building and two fire tankers.
Two firefighters have been released from hospital after being treated for minor burns and it is believed another has suffered more serious injuries.
The communities of Upwey, Tecoma, Belgrave Heights, Belgrave South and Belgrave are no longer under direct threat from the fire, but should stay alert due to the high level of fire activity in the area.
All it takes is for the wind to change direction or increase and all bets are off. As the fires burn they start producing embers, like real charcoal, which are light and very hot: the coals, if you will. They are readily wind-borne, and spread the fires quickly.
