Calendar Addition

Right between Hogwatch and Festivus on December 22nd I have to add: Jury Duty.

It should be interesting to see how much attention a jury will pay to testimony at a trial during Christmas week, with all of the things the jurors have to do before Christmas.

LOL That’s funny m8! 😀

So… You’ll be *that* juror that all the others hate, right? 😉 Maybe you’ll be the foreman? 😉 😀

Good luck. 🙂

With law enforcement on my jury questionnaire I won’t be selected for a criminal case, as the defense attorney will challenge me, so it will probably be a civil auto accident case. The closest I could come to a criminal trial would be on a grand jury, which isn’t a trial at all, but lasts for an extended period.

All I can do is fill out the forms and hope the case is settled before I have to report.

You’re supposed to yell ‘Guilty’ right off, right? Then you all can go Christmas shopping…

If you do that, you will probably be sitting in a cell until St Patrick’s Day for contempt of court 😉

Normally people just make up wild excuses to avoid the whole thing, like “I’m sorry I’m late filling out the form, but I just got back from volunteering in a clinic in West Africa, and would love to be on a jury rather than sitting in quarantine…” You know, small misstatements –
